With basic features but colourful presentation, Supermarket Mania certainly isn’t pushing any graphical boundaries on PSP but it gets the job done with style all the same. With that said, there’s a nice happy, community feel to everything in the game – watching Nikki and her friends slowly work their way up is enjoyable, meaning that despite the simple elements it all comes together well. ![]() While you’ll be given little snippets of plot and are introduced to a handful of different characters (including the amusingly named security guard Mr Barefist), there’s not much else to the plot here – it’s basically the story of how David beat Goliath. ![]() After she gets fired from her job due to Torg replacing all the workers with robots, Nikki and her ex-colleague decide to set up a rival business selling groceries, with the goal of defeating Torg at their own game and showing the value of individuality in a cut-throat industry. In Supermarket Mania you play as Nikki, a young woman who works for the Torg Corporation, who have a monopoly on supermarkets in the area.
